Nov 27, 2009 - Thanksgiving in Tennessee

We arrived in Maynardville on Tuesday, just in time for a terrific home cooked dinner. On Wednesday, we all rode into Knoxville to walk around the World's Fair Park. The park was dedicated in 1982 when the World's Fair was held in Knoxville. The Veterans' memorial is a fitting tribute to local veterans, and an arm of the Tennessee River flows through the park as well. Jan 6, 2008 - The trip to Tennessee

Hi, guys! We came straight to Tennessee from Florida, making one overnight stop in Calhoun, Georgia. The cold weather prevented us from wanting to do any sightseeing! We tried to see some caverns near Smoky Mt. Nat'l Park, but they were closed for the winter. We did a driving tour of Cades Cove, a pre-Civil War community that was vacated to make the park in the early 20th century.
