Hello Friends and Family, A long day in the saddle from Wytheville to Hurricane Mills, TN - 8 hours total, 7 driving and two potty/drink stops. We are at a nicely wooded and mostly empty KOA Campgrounds a long, stone's throw from I-40 so we can enjoy the whine of the truck tires and turbos. We will stay here two nights before traveling further west on Thursday. The day was perfect for traveling - blue skies, mid-80's, smooth pavement and scenic, wooded Tennesse along I-40. Jun 17, 2007 - Loretta Lynn Ranch, Hurricane Mills, TN

Thursday arrival as planned. Looks like Hurricane Mills, TN consists entirely of Loretta Lynn's Ranch and adjoining area which contains The Country Store, owned and operated by her daughter, Cissie Lynn and the Flea Market, owned and operated by her daughter, Betty. This place is really a goldmine. Of course, I didn't think we would find Loretta living in abject poverty having made a fortune on being a former coalminer's daughter and all.
