Nov 25, 2013 - Happy Thanksgiving

We are continuing to enjoy our time in TN. Saturday, the 16th, we treated Danette and Justice to "A Tribute to Patsy Cline with Mandy Barnett & the Nashville Symphony" at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. Mandy was terrific, the symphony was terrific, and the Center was absolutely beautiful! The symphony opened with two pieces and then accompanied Mandy as she sang 17 songs. Jack says that Mandy Barnett sings Patsy Cline better than Patsy Cline does. Then Sunday, the 17th, Danette & I went to the movies at Opry Mills to see "12 Years a...

Nov 15, 2013 - Dewees & IRVing Update

We are enjoying our time at Danette's. She has been busy at work; this week enrolling employees in the company provided health care plans. Her days are about 12 hours long at the moment, but today is the end of face to face enrollments. Lance is self employed and has been keeping busy with home renovations and mowing neighborhood lawns. In his spare time he has been remodeling their house; which he gutted and nearly rebuilt. You can see some of his handiwork in the pictures: the railing he built on the stairs to the lower level from bending...

Nov 8, 2013 - Went to Ryman in Nashville

Before leaving Pigeon Forge, TN on the 5th, we spent about three hours at the Titanic Museum. Justice is very much interested in everything Titanic and the museum had a lot to see and experience. Tickets are boarding passes for people who departed on the Titanic. Jack was William Gwinn (Crew - 37 y.o. Postal Clerk from NJ), I was Mary Fortune (60 y.o. 1st Class Passenger from Canada), and Justice was Marjorie Collyer (8 y.o. in 2nd Class heading for Idaho). The last room to visit is the Memorial Room and that is where you find out if you...

Oct 27, 2010 - Wow!

The mega-storm reached peak intensity late yesterday afternoon over Minnesota, resulting in the lowest barometric pressure readings ever recorded in the continental United States, except for from hurricanes and nor'easters affecting the Atlantic seaboard... Our weather expert says they predict fewer winter storms in the near future... but the ones there are will be more like this! As I said.... WOW! Sounds like it was a picnic down here! ^_^ Love to all.... P & E

Wow... it just keeps getting better! ^_^ This is a wonderful place... however, we could do without the 30-40 mph wind gusts!! Really appreciating the A/S streamlined shape right now!! ;> We sure have a ringside seat to watch the whitecaps and sun sparkles on the lake! Again... wish you were here!!! ^_^ Love to all.... God Bless! P & E

Sep 20, 2009 - September, 2009--Carolyn, Luke & ??-White House

Good Bye, Price & Mary Sue....HELLO, Luke & Carolyn. I had hardly been able to sit down when, Carolyn n Luke told me that I MAY NOT BE BE ALONE. They are EXPECTING. Does THAT mean that I will be ignored? STAY TUNED, FOLKS. Well, I soon found out that Luke n Carolyn were VERY BUSY PEOPLE. Both were STILL working,so I got to go with them. However, our first JOB was working on a NEW bedroom. I was SO excited. MY VERY OWN ROOM. I thought they were going to allow ME to help pick out colors. Boy, was I fooled. They were doing THAT room for a new...

Jul 29, 2009 - July, 2009-Sumner County, TN

As you can see from our pictures, I have NOW met my NEW family-Price & Mary Sue LaCroix. Why, the FIRST thing Price & Mary did, was to take me for a ride down Nashville-Dickerson Pike. Something about "bringing back memories" for THEM. We DID stop for a "beary" good meal at a resturant near the Holliday Inn. Now, what could the significance of that particular place be?? hmmmmmm. If you remember, I "sort of" RETIRED when I went to Bubba & Rhonda's. The FIRST thing Mary Sue did was, start a "painting" project in one of the rooms. They wanted...
