Yesterday Afternoon: As we drive into Wytheville, we have no air conditioning. From the campground, we make calls. We connect with a mechanic close to the campground. It is not our freon. Needless to say, we are both pretty down. First the refrigerator, then the exhaust and now the air conditioner. We decide to do what we always do. May 20, 2018 - Over the Mountains - Day 1

The sun is finally shining. A beautiful day for a drive through the mountains. The coach ran wonderfully and took the mountains like they were nothing. Tomorrow will be a little more work, as we go up further. Coming into the campground was interesting. It is one way in and one way out. The entry road is gravel, barely wide enough to count as a lane, and quite a descent. The entry finishes up with a 90 degree left hand turn. Aug 4, 2012 - Whitewater on Pigeon River

In the morning, we headed to Wildwater for our rafting trip. The tour guides went through some safety information and then we broke into groups with individual guides for our rafting. Our guide was Channing. After getting our equipment, we piled into the school bus with the rafts on the roof and headed just over the state line to put in our rafts near the power plant.
