When we departed the Dobbs we knew it was going to be a long drive. At the end of 218 miles, we arrived at the Thousand Trails Cherokee Landing park near Grand Junction, Tenn. Our original purpose was to rest and relax, but on our way through town we saw the Hall of Fame for Bird Dogs! As lovers of dogs, we knew we had to see this! The next day, we drove the 12 miles back to the town and signed in at the Hall of Fame. May 16, 2010 - Cherokee Landing
Summer Travels 2010 Our summer trip will take us to the east coast and up to Washington D.C. While we will leave in time for us to visit Savanah, Hilton Head, Charleston, Myrtle Beach, and others, the primary focus for this trip is to get to Washington. It is there that we will meet up with our Alaska (GAT) friends, Dave and Jan and Ben and Bonita. As soon as school is out our two young grandsons, Keegan (13), and Monty (12) will be flying in to Baltimore for us to pick up for a three week visit touring the nation’s capitol.
