Oct 1, 2011 - Dyer

Last couple of days in Dyer. We went to Jackson and saw Money Ball on Friday. Cheryl and I really enjoyed the movie since we had read the book too. Hit lots of yard sales and went to the Reelfoot Lake Arts and Crafts festival on Saturday. Nice cool and sunny day for the festival. We then had a final dinner party for the family that night. Cheryl cooked long rice with chicken. Not my favorite, but I had a little. I think we have successfully encouraged Pam and Russell to become wine drinkers. Sep 25, 2011 - Dyer Time

Well, we have had a busy time since my last post. I've golfed twice (both under 3 hour rounds), we went to the Jack Daniel's distillery in Lynchburg (4 hour drive each way), went to their cabin at Kentucky Lake near Paris for a couple days, went wine tasting twice (yes they have decent wine, but different varieties of grapes), and had a great fish fry up at their neighbors cabin by the lake. We had a great time and Cheryl may have had a little better time than just about anyone at the party. I think she felt worse than me. We'll probably...

Short drive into Dyer, Tennessee today to Cheryl's cousin Pam's house. Weather is pretty cool and it was a little windy, reminds us of California weather. We ended up going to the rehearsal and dinner for Michelle's wedding that will be on Saturday. We got a plaque from Michelle and Dylan for coming the longest way to the wedding, which was very thoughtful. Learned of an interesting custom here for the grooms father to be the best man. That's the first time we ever heard of that, but it's typical for this part of the country.
