From Caney Creek RV Resort, Harriman, 40 miles west of Knoxville, TN. Everything is a-perking along quite well, not overly exciting but fairly calm, relaxing & enjoyable. I have now settled fairly well into the routine of my responsibilities here in the campground, fully enjoying being involved & interacting with the guests. There are still a few situations on which Richard (my co-host), the front desk & I are still working to fully understand the right solution but we are making progress with shortening the list as various situations...

We're Wingin' It

Oct 9, 2008 - Day Thirty-Three Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee

We set a personal best today, 3 states in one day! Left Metropolis, crossed the Ohio into KY. Thoroughly enjoyed the Land Between the Lakes. Felt very different from typical southern landscape and wildlife. Close enough from home for anyone to come and see buffalo over a weekend. Clarksville is a beautiful city on the Cumberland River. We had not been drinking, but we swore we saw pink elephants in Clarksville. We took pictures. Do they look pink to you? The Grand Ole Opry was a disappointment. Smack-dab in the middle of a shopping mall...
