Jun 27, 2009 - The Way Home

Well, we are on the way home. Made it back to Dale and Linda's tonight. We went out for dinner and had a wonderful meal. I am getting along OK with my elbow. I stopped wearing the sling, as Dr. indicated I should do, but still having problems with lifting my hand to my face. But as I said before, it hasn't stopped my eating - it is just slower. I'll have to find an orthopedic doctor once I get home for a follow-up. The Dr in Garrison gave me my x-rays on a CD so I can show them to the Atlanta Dr. (once I find one.) We had quite a storm last...

Jul 26, 2005 - Day 2, Tuesday

July 26, Tuesday-8 am. Wake up feeling cold and damp; fix bacon and eggs for breakfast. Hoping to get ourselves used to "living" in the camper! Skies were overcast and we heard on the radio that the temperature was 63 and they had 1.54 inches of rain in the storm that we drove through. We toured Pilot's Knob before we got on our way. Found out it is the second highest point in Iowa! Lots of bridle paths-would be a great stop-over for the horse riders in the family. We talked to a kind lady in Forest City, she advised us of a county road...
