VISIT TO THE CAROLINAS Our travels took us to Asheville, NC for a week. While there we visited many sites including The Cove (Billy Graham retreat), local color and the Biltmore House and Gardens, which was our favorite. We spent eight hours touring this historic home built by George Vanderbilt. Construction took six years being completed in 1895. Three years later he married Edith Stuyvesant Dresser and they had one daughter Cornelia born in 1900. Today, Biltmore remains a family business with the Vanderbilt’s great-grandson serving as CEO...

Nov 17, 2009 - Travel to Shaw AFB, South Carolinia

We had an easy drive from the incredible hospitality we received from Billy and Caroline Teague in Mountville, SC and had an easy ~125 mile drive to Shaw AFB, SC. F-16s flying overhead and a great military Famcamp wait. Hopefully adventure lies ahead. Pretty casual/rainy day on the 18th. Weny went for a run, Jack and I biked around the perimeter of Shaw Air Force Base. After 6 weeks off and on engagement with VuQube, DIRECT TV and our growing satellite TV knowledge we finally have 100% functional TV. I would like to say Jack most memorable...
