Hi Guys, What a fun day we had today as we continued our drive down through the southern states. After leaving the RV park at around 9.30am we traveled for a couple of hours before stopping for lunch in the city of Selma, North Carolina. After looking around at our choices we decided to try our luck at a place called, Carolina Barbeque and Chicken. Oct 25, 2009 - Summerton, SC (Big Water)

Summerton, SC (10-11 thru 10-25) We arrived at the Big Water RV Resort in Summerton, SC on October 11. The resort is located on the shores of Lake Marion which is part of the Santee Cooper project. The Santee Cooper is well known for holding several world fishing records. The Santee Dam across the Santee River impounded Lake Marion in 1942. It was found that the striped bass that came up the Cooper River from the ocean to spawn entered Lake Moultrie through a lock and became trapped and landlocked; therefore could not return to the sea. Nov 10, 2008 - Finally, we see sun !!!

We arrived at Big Water Campground about 12:30 after a 120 mile drive this morning and it was a pleasant short drive. Moves like this one are not bad at all. The campground is nice and now we have a bright sunny site. We were assigned site #6 and for some unknown reason we pulled into site #7 and unhitched and was almost set up and I realized that we screwed up. I walked up to the check in station and asked if that would be OK but she said #7 was reserved and we had site #6. Bummer, I went back and hitched up and moved to our site. We...
