On Wednesday, October 6 we headed east to St. George, South Carolina to a park we hadn’t stayed in before. We were a little leary about the campground, but as it turned out it was a really nice place, and since it was a Passport America park, it was relatively inexpensive. We would be here for 4 days, so we thought we’d have time to finish up washing and waxing the rig that we had started while we were at Lake Oconee. Nov 28, 2007 - Finally! Really on our way to Florida!

We're in Jolly Acres RV Campground in St. George, South Carolina today. This is a clean, neat small private campground about six miles off of I-95 and 45 minutes from Charleston. The owner is a little lady who appears to be in her 80's. Her daughter (granddaughter?) registered us at the camp when we arrived. As I registered yesterday afternoon, I noticed the delicious aroma of potatoes, carrots and cabbage - obviously being stewed with fatback - cooking in the campground office. Good Southern country cookin'. There must be men around to do...
