Apr 27, 2011 - Easter in the Woods

Back to Paris Mountain (it is only about 10 minutes from our home) for a 3 day trip. Much better weather and time to enjoy the play, take a walk, etc. Going to have to get a screen room for the awning due to bugs. Had a fabulous fire in the fire pit. What is camping without a fire? Used one fire starter and kept the fire going for 3 days! Lots of fire wood around in other sites. The place was deserted. We will go during the week if possible from now on.

Apr 19, 2011 - Maiden Voyage

This was the maiden voyage for our pop-up camper. Thought sure we wouldn't need reservations so early in the year, wrong. We were only allowed to stay one night but, as it turned out, it was the worst of the year so far. Tornadoes all across the south east. We weathered it just fine except for the noise of the rain. It would hit hard and back off. We had earplugs and used them! We found another camper just a few doors down with the same model, year, everything as ours. I talked to them a bit a discovered a few things I didn't know. Helped...
