After our wonderful time visiting Savannah we headed back to Modoc COE Campground so I could begin the work on my tooth. At Modoc there are very few sites for larger RV's. Our Airstream is only 31' long but with the truck we are over 50' in total length. So site selection is very important. This time we really missed it with site selection....you must take my word for it....I have no pictures to show you how badly we messed up! And you know....we should have known better....but instead of looking closely at the site.......we were looking...

Jul 31, 2012 - Traveling to Modoc COE Campground

We left Charleston and headed west towards Modoc, SC.....near Augusta, GA and Aiken, SC. Now we always talk about what we do when we are "somewhere".....the things we know about, etc. But sometimes its more about the journey than the destination and this travel day was one of those days. As we traveled US 17, SC 68 and US 78 towards Modoc, SC we began to see signs and markers for things we knew nothing about. With the aid of my Iphone and the internet we learned about the following things. 1. Caw Caw Interpretive Center 2. Stono Rebellion...

Dec 4, 2007 - Cotton Fields and Family Visits

So much going on since last I entered updates! Where are we now? We are in New Orleans again! We made it back to Alabama but got a call for work back in New Orleans. We'll be here until the end of the week then back to Alabama. Looks like I won't know about a job until January so for this month I'll still be working with Bush. Bush is getting busier so it's been good. On our way traveling back to NOLA we stopped at his dad's again in Evergreen AL to bid a big tree job. It was the first time I went to a Cotton Field!
