Apr 24, 2019 - Kinards, SC - Magnolia RV Park and Campground

Our trip from Savannah, GA to Kinards, SC covered 216 miles of very heavy traffic once I-95 went from three lanes to two at the GA/SC border. There is just too much traffic for two lanes up I-95, especially when it is heavy with trucks traveling different speeds and trying to pass each other, clogging both lanes. In addition to the traffic in SC, the condition of the highway is terrible with large chunks of concrete missing and nothing done to fill the holes. Apr 19, 2017 - From Kinards, SC

On the road again. One of our longer travel days at about 5 hours of driving. Heavy traffic with all of the snowbirds going home but traffic moved smoothly. We stopped at a rest stop around noon to make lunch. We ate at the picnic tables and met a nice couple from Michigan that has done some extensive RVing. The weather was mostly cloudy all day but only a very few sprinkles, no rain. In the last hour of travel, the temperature dropped from the high 70's to the mid 60's. The forecast for the 4 days that we're in the Smokeys is RAIN ........

Jul 4, 2014 - Independence Day

We spent our 4th (and 3rd) at two Revolutionary War battlefields soaking up some American history. Went to Cowpens yesterday and Musgrove Mill today. These patriots were not afraid to fight and die for the cause of independence from tyranny and oppression. Wish we had a few of those folks around today. America is in deep trouble. Picture attached of the battlefield memorial.

The Bright Side

Apr 9, 2008 - First Day Of Trip

We left home this morning headed for Magnolia RV Park in Kinards, South Carolina where we planned to camp for our first night of this trip. We stopped for breakfast at the Cracker Barrel in Brunswick, Georgia, topped off our gas tank before leaving Brunswick and continued into South Carolina on I-95 then transferred to I-26, arriving at the RV Park around 3:30 in the afternoon. It is a nice campground and close to the Interstate. We had a good first day and night. We will keep in touch as we travel along on the rest of our planned 4.5 month...
