Not having kept track of our weather, I wondered how many days of rain we'd seen this winter when we awoke to another dripping sky on March 1. Thankfully, we hadn't had to unhitch the trailer at our stop at the state park in SC, so it was disconnect water and electric and go. The rain fell almost all of the way to Hilton Head Island. Feb 29, 2012 - Colleton State Park, SC

On the 29th, we had another 90-mile day and stopped at a beautiful SC state park. It was evident they cut a minimal number of trees, so driving into the campground presented small challenges. The camp host directed us to the best site to accommodate us without unhitching the trailer. We met a real-life Barney Fife when we met the park ranger - everything from the way he talked to his mannerisms were the same.
