130426-Fri-108??T&C-TripJournal-Shirley finished the 4 outlets in the kitchen and we hung things back on the wall. Then she finished the drapes in the master bedroom. She first put a coat of paint on the rental street door so it could dry and she put the kitchen valances in the wash. Our front door is done & the second coat is on the rental door. 130425-Thu-108??T&C-TripJournal-Today we did a lot of running around. Shirley got her hair cut. We went to lunch at Mondo’s, then got a mocha from Sonic. Then we went to the Dollar Store. Then we got pedicures and back to the beach. Shirley is not only a good painter, but today I turned her into an electrician. We changed most of the outlets in the kitchen from ivory to white. I expected 14ga wire, but got 12 ga which is heavier. We did most of it but have 4 to do tomorrow. She has to do the drapes over the door and she is going to add...

130424-Wed-108??T&C-Shirley finished the kitchen today. The walls have two coats of paint and the trim was sanded, primed and then two coats of gloss. It looks really good. We are going to put new white electrical outlets and switches in it. We kept waiting for Michael to call, so Shirley could get her hair done. He called and it’s going to be tomorrow.

130422-Mon-108??T&C-We ran a lot of errands. We got drop cloths for drapes in our bedroom. We got rods and curtain rings. We looked at paint for the front door, but we will wait. Painting the kitchen and new drapes in our bedroom is enough for a start. Shirley is working too hard. There is primer and 1 coat of finish paint on the trim. It still needs another coat.

130421-Sun-10805T&C-No miles today. We just stayed home. Rhett Infinger, who did the baths, came over and installed 2 more handicapped bars in our bath and we told him about some other things that we thought were needed. He will take care of it. Right now Shirley is painting the trim in the kitchen. She wants to paint the whole kitchen while we are here. She completed priming the trim.

Before returning to Cleveland, we moved back to Carolina Landing on Lake Hartwell on Wednesday, February 1. Soon after our arrival, we received a phone call from friends Rich and Jan. They were going to Folly Beach near Charleston to spend the weekend with friends Jeff and Teresa and would we like to join them. Of course we would! We pulled out from Grand Island at noon yesterday - after celebrating Easter Sunday at St. Philip Lutheran Church. Roads weren't too crowded, but the later it got, the more cars we saw. Guess everyone was heading home from Easter dinner. Bob and Julie had a great supper for us... flounder, shrimp, corn, tomatoes. Friday Apr 4…10:30pm We drove from Hilton Head Island to Folly Beach, which is very close to Charleston, South Carolina. Folly Beach is on Folly Island. Uneventful drive…the scenery of marshy swampland doesn’t so much for us. If you’re a bird lover, you’d probably appreciate that kind of scenery…but birds don’t do anything for me either. Folly Beach is a really nice area though…I kinda like it here. They have realistic beach rules, including allowing dogs and alcohol…but no glass containers or cans…only plastic. Saturday May 26 This day we were to fly to Charleston, SC, on NW Airlines from Dallas to Memphis and then NW again to Charleston. Our plane wasn't scheduled to leave until 4:10 PM. Mike and Judy got us to the airport about 2:30. We checked our luggage, went through security, found the right gate, and sat down to wait until they loaded the plane.
