We had another interesting GPS-led drive from Charleston to Camden. We were on interstate for 6 miles, lesser highways for maybe 20 miles & the rest of the 127 mile trip was on back roads. (Not that we minded - back roads are interesting when you've got the time & the roads aren't busy.) We discovered a national park we didn't know existed - Congaree National Park preserves the largest tract of old growth bottomland hardwood forest in the US. Feb 28, 2012 - Camden, SC

Leaving Gaffney, we had another short day to get to Camden, SC. We stopped to see Clark's uncle. Since we had last visited, Clark's aunt had died and it was important that we stop to see his uncle. What a great uncle. He entertained us very nicely, even finding us a place, across the street from his house, where we could park the motor home overnight. He then took us to a great Greek restaurant - such good food. Off for breakfast the next morning and then we were on the road again.
