Aug 25, 2011 - Travel Day to Pennsylvania

Tuesday we hitched up and headed to Pennsylvania.....west and south. We continued our journey down US 7 through Massachusetts and into Connecticut. This continued to be a pretty drive through the Berkshires. We pulled into a parking place with the Airstream and enjoyed our lunch in Great Barrington, MA. Isn't great to have your home with you? We turned west into New York state stopping in Poughkeepsie to do some banking. While I was in Wells Fargo, Tom learned of the earthquake in Virginia. Sep 2, 2010 - Tobyhanna PA

Finally found the campground. I followed Garmin and ended up on Hemlock Circle. Key word circle. We drove around the circle and we see a young man walking and a little white haired lady crossing the street. I said to Mel we should ask one of them. His words were “that little old lady won’t know nothing.” Guess what! She seen us turn in to the circle and knew exactly where we wanted to go. She had the directions down to a tee. Jun 24, 2010 - Tobyhanna, PA

Today we just stayed at the campground. The kids went swimming, to the playground and to the game room. Later we did laundry. It rained here early in the day with temperatures in the 70’s. Bo spent the day soaking his foot and taking Advil as I queried the Internet on burning feet and that’s what it said to do. He said this afternoon his foot is better. No, he didn’t get a black eye from the ball yesterday, but he says his eye is sore.

Jun 23, 2010 - Travel Day

We are at the turning point now in our trip and today we are starting to head back south. We are staying at Hemlock Campground located in Tobyhanna, PA, in the Pocono’s on site# 12 $27.50 per night full hookup. We stayed at this same campground on our way to New York and liked it so much we decided to come back. The temperatures in PA today are in the 70’s, which is so much better than New York. Jun 18, 2010 - Travel Day

Tonight we are spending the night at the Hemlock Campground on site# 2 $41 per night water & electric located in the heart of the Poconas. We traveled form Milton, Pa on I-80 to I-380 to the town of Tobyhanna. We stopped along the way to get some groceries and ate lunch at Subway. The kids played on the playground and swan in the heated pool until dark. As we walked through the park we saw 3 turkeys run in front of us. A worker at the campground said that a bear frequents the dumpster at the park early in the morning & later afternoon. We...
