Very pleasant and enjoyable drive through the Allegheny National Forest in Pennsylvania. The towns had wonderful old houses well painted and kept. We made a stop at the Drake Oil Well Museum and park in Titusville, PA. Searched for a couple geocaches but dnf (did not find for those that do not know this abbreviation). Our dry camp was at the lookout with no one else around. The weather was perfect for dry camping other than the forecast for storms that did not occur. Our visit to the Grand Canyon of PA we were accompanied by tons of flies...

Hello everyone, Since I have not had the opportunity to catch up with my journal....blah, blah.....I have added some pics from Cath's camera for your enjoyment! When I return home, I will update with more details and pics for all to see. Between not having service, in a hurry, too tired, and every other obstacle imaginable....I have chose to finish it when I can sit and REALLY get the story straight! Alaska 2009

Jul 17, 2009 - Day 37-42....Tidioute, PA

We arrived in Tidioute at happy hour, although, I think it is ALWAYS happy hour in this quaint valley. We parked out front of the VFW, as the parking lot was full! Ella is a member so she slid her card and the front door opened. For me, I had to press a buzzer every time I reentered. I quickly learned that one short buzz would do....as the first time I buzzed multiple times then knocked on the door...hey, I did not know Tidioute VFW rules. We were welcomed by many friends and family of Cath, Ella, Mike and Joe. I knew quite a few, as my 30...
