Oct 7, 2014 - Mr. Ed's Elephant Museum, Orrtanna, PA

Mr. Ed’s Elephant Museum is in Orrtanna PA. Mr Ed got his first elephant from his wife as an anniversary present. On the way to Gettysburg, he picked up 3 more and his life was changed. There were thousands of elephants in the museum…what a kick to visit it. On the grounds, there is Miss Ellie Funt, the talking elephant, the Hi-Ho road with Snow White and the 7 dwarfs, and lots of Halloween decorations. This was the highlight of our day.

Feb 25, 2014 - Home and COLD!

From our last stop on the road in North Carolina at a KOA, we headed to Pennsylvania for a relatively short (365 miles) hop to the home of our daughter Audrey's in-laws, the Plotkins in Orrtanna which is just outside of Gettysburg. We were warmly greeted and left the RV in the parking lot of their community, "100 Fold." Gretchen made a wonderful dinner and we enjoyed their company and a warm fire in their wood stove before a good night's sleep in a "real bed." The next day, we just relaxed and visited their greenhouse where community waste...
