Sep 20, 2013 - to Milton PA; 20/280

130920-Fri-76219-We drove 335 miles today. We went to the top of the Bennington VT War Memorial and the started home. We are now at a KOA just on I80. This morning I backed into a tree leaving our last campground. I screwed up the bike rack, but hopefully not the bike. I’ll have to look when I get home.

Jun 24, 2012 - Wanting To Go Home

All these loads are beginning to blend together into a blob. Home is on our minds and we are just going thru the motions now. We left Colorado with a 500+ mile deadhead to Liberal, Kansas to pick up a load of meat, to be packaged in some town near Milton, PA. Actually, I didn't mind the fact that we were leaving empty to go back over the mountain on Hwy 50 in Colorado. It was a lot less stressful! We picked up our load very early the next morning and headed east. So many of the major highways have massive construction programs going on. It...

Jul 16, 2010 - Jellystone Park at Shangri-La, Milton, PA

Day 2 was another bad day. This morning I went to take a shower and the water pump wasn’t working (brand new – Dan just installed it when we were in Florida). So Dan spent ALL day trying to get the frig and the water pump working. He finally did, but during the process I’ve never seen him so frustrated and depressed, and if there had been a cliff nearby I’m sure he would have driven BART right over the edge and celebrated. I was pretty down in the dumps myself. So after working outside all day in the 90-degree heat and high humidity, Dan...

Jun 17, 2010 - Yogi Bear Campground

This morning it was cold when we got up. The 50’s! And stayed that way until early afternoon. Clay and Autumn went fishing in the catch and release pond at the campground. Clay caught 3 fish and Autumn caught 5. They had great fun! They did some swimming again today, but they liked the playground the best. The playground is like what they have at McDonalds and spent hours playing in it, making a lot of friends and not wanting to come home. Bo watched them at the playground while I did laundry again! We also did some hiking through the...

Jun 16, 2010 - Yogi Bear Campground

We left Altoona this morning heading north on I-99 to I-80 to the Yogi Bear Campground in Milton, PA. On the way we stopped at Flying J and ate lunch at the Country Market there. We arrived at the campground early afternoon so we had plenty of time to explore. The kids went swimming but only swam for about 30 minutes before getting cold and getting out. They then spent the rest of the time at the playground. Later in the evening we walked around the campground and then went to The Yakki Theatre. The kids watched a movie and Bo & I put a...

Aug 26, 2008 - Forestport, NY to Milton, PA

Continuing our trek south, we stayed at the same campground in Milton, PA that we stayed in on our way north in May. So if the campsite photo looks familiar - it is! We stayed in the same site. On our way the next morning, we passed through Dillsburg, PA, our son-in-law's hometown. We stopped for a break and took a photo of this restaurant and the farm behind it. Turns out it's a family favorite place! On the road again.

May 15, 2008 - Intercourse, PA to Milton, PA

After two lovely weeks in Amish country, we headed north and stopped overnight in Milton, PA. It was a fairly short day and we got in and set up with time to sit out and enjoy the late afternoon. This is our only "transit" day of the summer as we will be traveling "destination to destination" where we'll stay at least a week.
