August 25, Sunday Low 54, high 72 partly cloudy Parked near Deal trailhead only a few miles from our campground. Trail was fairly busy at first near the Eastern Continental Divide tunnel. Next stop was the Big Savage Tunnel which is 3,294 feet long. Thank goodness it had lights because our headlights weren’t bright enough. Moving right along at a good pace we crossed the Mason-Dixon Line. Yet another tunnel within the first 3 miles was the Borden Tunnel only 957 feet long with about 5 lights out in the middle which made it difficult for a...

Aug 22, 2019 - Mason Dixon RV Park

August 22, Thursday, 70 degrees and starting to rain Left Greenback, TN about 8 am. Drove on 81 with lots of truck traffic and lots of rain and wind. 338 miles later we camped at Mountain Lake Campground in Summersville, WV. Assigned a campsite that was for a tent or small van so we went back up the steep gravel road to the office to get a different site, only to discover that someone was already in that site.
