Sep 28, 2014 - Day 36

105 miles, 16.07 average, 37.28 maximum speed, 4314 feet climbing. Good ride with tough rolling climbs. Leaving Cleveland was nice - we thought we saw another fake deer in a yard - it moved, surprise. Nice buck just standing real still. Got to hotel early - ahead of bags. Eight riding days left. There is a rider on this trip that wears cycling clothing from a company called see me wear. The clothes are designed for visibility - florescent bright colors. This rider has been hit by cars two times on this trip. He is OK but how ironic.

The weather was a bit drizzley...

With a background in planning and redevelopment, some of these projects were in Jane's purview before retirement . The Impact Meadville project for example not only rehabilitated an old brick hotel, but...

Mar 28, 2008 - Almost home

Hard to believe our holiday is almost over. This afternoon Glenna visited the Prime Outlet Mall in Grove City. It's barely above freezing and we can't find any campgrounds that have opened yet for this season. This afternoon we decided to winterize the trailer and motel it for our final night. We thought we would spoil ourselves, so we are at the Holiday Inn at Meadville, Pennsylvania. We went out to a nice restaurant for dinner. We are relaxing tonight before our final day to drive home. It has been a tremendous adventure, but it sure will...
