Oct 31, 2010 - Kutztown,Pa. Applician Trail

We spent two nights in Kinzers, Pennsylvania at Roamers Retreat Campground. We were right in the middle of Pennsylvania Dutch Country and had a good time driving around the beautiful farmland with its rolling hills. We passed Amish farmhouses and saw a boy plowing with four horses pulling the plow, children walking home from school, many buggies pulled by horses, and lots of wash hanging on the lines even though it was Wednesday. That evening we went to a spectacular production of the story of Joseph in the Bible at the Sight and Sound...

East Coast Trip 2010

Aug 5, 2010 - July 28- Aug 25, 2010 Kutztown, PA

Pine Hill Campground We really love this campground and the people that own it. Having to move from the last park with no reservation I called Pine Hill and they said we could stay as long as we needed. We were excited and very thankful. The lots were large and the roads were wide making it a perfect big rig park. The owners had bought it a few years before and were doing a great job of fixing it up. Since 1796 Martin Guitar Co has been producing acoustic guitars. Starting in Germany and now in Nazareth, PA the factory produces many types...

Apr 26, 2008 - We have our RV!

Our first step in our cross country adventure began today. We picked up our Class C 1996 Gulf Stream Yellowstone Capri camper today. Unfortunately, we found it very difficult to get an RV that we liked within our budget in New England. We found plenty of RVs that were only a few years old - and way out of our budget. We found 20+ year old ones that were withiin our budget but were way too old and looked undependable. We hope to have found one that is reliable enough to take us on our cross country adventure. Getting the RV involved more...

Jul 30, 2006 - PA Butterflies

We went to Scott & Beth's for a family day. Aunts & Uncles, Grandfather, little cousins, in-laws - one big happy family for a pot luck afternoon. Lovely day with good food and fun company. We got to see the wedding photos from June 1st, and some lovely Hawaiian honeymoon photos and funny stories. Little Aliya (Scott & Beth's 7 yr old daughter, my GrandNeice) showed me her room, her swings & her trampoline and then the butterflies in the backyard. OH MY - were there ever butterflies - everywhere! They had different colored lilac bushes...

Jul 28, 2006 - Back to visit Nephew

We drove back to Kutztown where we stayed for nephew Scott's wedding. We wanted to visit with them and see the wedding photos. Since it was a week day and they all work, we'll have to visit them on Sunday, their regular "family day". So we relaxed and caught up on groceries & laundry.

May 24, 2006 - Martin Guitar Factory

Monday we moved on to Eastern PA. and are now located at the Pine Hill RV Resort in Kutztown PA., which is approx. 16 miles West of Allentown. The last of the clouds moved out yesterday after 3 weeks of clouds and rain and its finally going to warm up into the 70's today. The scenery here is rolling green hills of half forest and half ranch or crops. From our rig we are looking at corrals about 200 feet away that have horses, a donkey, a lama and a bunch of dogs. The lama has been recently sheared, so it looks a little funny. Yesterday we...
