i thought i’d seen a lot of antique stores and flea-markets in other states (it seems like the major portion of the US economy – trading old stuff with each other!) but there’s an absolutely amazing amount of such stores in this portion of pennsylvania. (i just passed through gettysburg and lancaster.) i’m guessing it’s because of all the civil war history – if nothing else, that brings in tourists who theoretically shop for antiques and other relics. i think i’ll soon be getting into some of the revolutionary war historical sites. and i’m...

Oct 14, 2007 - Moving To Pennsylvania

Saturday was laundry, grocery shopping and get ready day. Today we are on our way to Lancaster County,PA. We left Cherry Hill about 11 AM. The trip was just 119 miles, so we got into Roamer's Retreat camp ground about 2 PM. We went up I95, bypassed Baltimore and then got off I95 just past the Susquehanna river onto MD 222. This was a two lane road that ran along the river and was a very pretty trip. Went thru a couple small towns and then a long stretch of road that looked like a tunnel under trees.
