Oct 8, 2016 - Elizabethtown, PA

My cousin Mark has asked me why we make RV park reservations, and this time we waited too long to call for reservations for Columbus Day weekend. We didn't get our 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice of RV Parks; we took what was available between Hershey and Lancaster County. There is but one building in Hershey, PA, the post office. New England 2016

May 2, 2014 - Elizabethtown, PA

It seems as if we have been ready to travel for weeks. The weather has not cooperated. Today we are finally on our way. We return to TW Howells for breakfast. I say we return because we had our send-off breakfast two days ago. Our plan is to travel to Gettysburg, PA today. We do not make it. We have a very nice ride across Southern New Jersey. We came down through the Delaware Water Gap National Park. The road was open but all facilities were closed. The drive was very pretty, not only there but most of...

New England 2013

Oct 1, 2010 - Out Of The Rain

Well the forecasted Tropical Rain Storm rolled in about 1:30 last night and was still going strong when I woke up around 6:30. Not wanting to get wet I figured might as well lay around until it slowed up a bit, which it finally did around 8:00. It never really did stop completely and by the time we pulled out it had started to pound down again, and the drive across New York State into Pennsylvania was done in rain. Just after crossing into Pa. we turned off onto Hway 209 and worked our way southwest through Mechanicsburg etc. and eventually...
