We were excited to go to the Shenandoah National Park in the morning but the road was closed when we got there. We drove up the 340 to Gettysburg, PA to see some of the old history. On the way there, we passed briefly through West Virginia and Maryland. In West Virginia, we came suddenly upon Harper’s Ferry and were delighted that we were within a mile of the Harper’s Ferry National Park.
