2018-10-15. The Push Home The closer we get to home, the more we want to be home though not for the additional responsibilities that entails; Miss the kids, grandkids and friends. So, since eating our way through Springfield, Illinois, we have been spending our days pushing through Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and now, Pennsylvania. We could have gone further faster but we try to avoid the interstates with all their truck traffic. So, we took US 36 across the heartland until near Muncie, Indiana. Fri, 15 Jun: Back on the road again... After a month of family visiting in New Jersey, it is time to pull up stakes, retract our jacks, and head out. As expected, it is with very mixed emotions that we leave. We dearly love our family, but to be honest we don't have any affection for their choice of domicile. New Jersey is just—too much! Too many people, too much traffic, too expensive, and too rushed. We got a lot ready yesterday, so this morning was not quite as busy as it could have been. 2018 Travels

Oct 17, 2011 - to Clearfield PA

111017-Mon-Last night I didn’t do an entry as we were too late coming home from Woods Hole. We took a bike ride from Falmouth to Woods Hole. It was about 4 miles, but it was windy. Everyone did fine, especially me on my trike. Then we drove back to Woods Hole and saw the seal and had dinner at LandsEnd. It was expensive, about $30 a meal, but we had a coupon that if you bought one you got on free so it wasn’t so bad. I didn’t feel good, but I think I was just tired. I didn’t eat all my steak. Today, we got up about 7am and left about 8am....

Jun 17, 2008 - Clearfield PA

We spent last night at the S.B. Elliot State Park.. Near Clearfield PA.. The park seemed strange and like it only fit 12 campers total. We exploredthe town via the car..... not too much going on there EXCEPT the drive through beer distributor at which thankfully had ZIMA in heavy supply..who'd a thunk it. And so....we woke at 6am and packed up our tent-home (which BTW was unbelievably comfy-thank you aerobed) and headed off to check out Cleveland OH. We were slightly deissapointed, but in all fairness to those of you who claimed Cleveland...
