Another riding day took us all around the area up and down mountain roads, along the Rogue River, to a nearby ghost town and a 19th century tavern, and to a few lovely wineries. Although we didn’t stay over night since we have the RV, we enjoyed a tour of the old Wolf Creek Inn and had a delicious lunch there. We learned that the Wolf Creek Inn is the oldest continuous use hotel in the state of Oregon. Built in 1883 by pioneer merchant Henry Smith, the Inn was billed as a "first-class traveler's hotel" for folks traveling on the stagecoach....
