John is awake early. It is a fishing day. We travel back to The Cove Palisades State Park. Yesterday, I did not mention the road leading into the park. There is a steady 7% grade for about two miles. The RV made the climb yesterday so we figure she can do it again! We check in at the marina at 8:00. Our boat is ready. We head around the point. Jan 20, 2009 - The Cove Palisades State Park & More

Today we decided to drive about 40 miles from Bend to a small town called Culver, Oregon. We went to visit the Cove Palisades State Park. It is a large park located at the convergence of three rivers, the Crooked, Deschutes, and Metolius. Each river has formed its own 600 foot deep canyon with sheer rock walls. There are 2 large campgrounds in the park. The Crooked River Campground is on the eastern rim of the Crooked River canyon. The Deschutes Campground is in a lower area between the Crooked and Deschutes rivers. It's a 5 mile drive...
