We are having a wonderful time exploring the Oregon Coast. There is so much to see and do. We visited 6 state parks today, plus several small fishing villages and towns. Each of the parks has something special about them. You could pack a picnic lunch and spend the day at any one of them and have a great time. We wanted to see as many as possible, so we went from one to the next just taking a few minutes to see each for a quick stop. Jul 16, 2008 - Tidepooling at Seal Rock; Newport, Oregon

Before going tidepooling we stopped for lunch at a roadsie fish and chips place. They actually had most anything you could ask for seasfood wise. It was one of those shack looking places on the side of the road with the hand painted signs. We saw a crowd of people and cars there so it just had to be good. I am not even a big fish eater but between the oceanic setting and the nostalgic feeling the place had I just had to try the fish and chips.
