Shelter Cove Resort on Odell Lake is breathtaking. It is situated at the 4800 foot-level of the Cascades. The 72 campsites are nestled in large trees; all of ours have a view of the lake. There is a ski resort nearby so the resort with its 13 lake front cabins is open all year round. In the campground is a trail to Trapper Creek which has been restored to provide a natural spawning habitat for the bull trout formerly called Dolly Varden. Jun 2, 2006 - Crater Lake
June 2, 2006 It is raining again today. We are staying at the Diamond Lake RV Resort near Crater Lake National Park. This morning, we are staying at the campground and hope that the weather will clear. We ate an early lunch and started out for Crater Lake's north entrance which is not far from our campground. We arrived there in a matter of minutes and found that the road was closed and covered with snow. We turned around and drove to the west entrance a much farther drive.
