Aug 20, 2005 - Day 15 - Rafting and Flying Motorcycles (not mine!)

Day 15 Saturday, Aug 20 Finally got my triple digit temperatures today. It got to 102. After breakfast out with Eryca and Larry we went rafting on the Rogue River for half a day. Eryca's mom came along with an inflatable kayak which I spent most of the time in. What a riot. High canyon walls and rapids in sections. Next time I want a Class 5. I approach rafting like biking: if a little is good, a lot is better. I've drawn another analogy between rafting and biking that I'll have to share with Brother Ray. Jun 26, 2005 - Happy Birthday Sally-wog!

Happy Birthday Sally! We went to Munchies, my family's favorite restaurant in Ashland. It was great! Then we went shopping, and I bought a pair of flip-flops. I love flip-flops! I have been collecting them this summer. I wish I could wear flip-flops all the time, but somehow I don't think that will work in Salzburg in the winter. :)

Jun 24, 2004 - Oregon trail brings us to John and Kathy's

After leaving Charley and Grace's house around 10, we plotted our trip through Oregon to visit Madeline's Brother and sister-in-law, John and Kathy. We wanted to go through Bend as we heard it was beautiful and although we took our vacation last year in Oregon, there was still some parts of the state we did not see. Only bad thing is we did get a warning light on the car to "check engine", which is an emmission problem. Will check this out in Medford tomorrow.
