Billy can't remember what we did in Manzanita, so I have to fill in....Judy We spent 5 nights at the Nehalem Bay State Park Campground, just south of the charming little town of Manzanita. The beach was incredibly beautiful and I walked a lot and watched some great sunsets. We had rain for several days and so caught up on some inside projects as well the laundry!! Ganzo Travels 2011

Sep 15, 2009 - Nehalem Bay State Park- Manzanita, OR

The trip from Dash Point to Manzanita on the Oregon coast is basically south on the I-5, then west on SR-30 from Longview to Astoria and finally south from Astoria along the coast on the Oregon Coast Highway or US-101. Weather was good and we made reasonable time, stopping in an I-5 rest stop for lunch. We gassed the motor home in Astoria and on the way out of town, encountered the biggest bridge we've seen. Jul 28, 2008 - Home is where the heart is...

A few friends who receive this (other than just our kids) are anxious for an update... We are still in Portland (Fairview, actually) and expect to be here until Fall. David will return to school in September and we will stay around to see if we are needed for sitting duties etc. as the mad rush of work and school descend on David. If it works out that everything is okay and we're just in the way, we'll head south to Desert Hot Spring for the Winter. Otherwise, we either stay here all winter (winter are pretty mild here) or move to south...
