The statistics for our trip are: motor home - 10,915 miles, car - 6285 miles, feet - a lot, bicycles - a little bit, 29 states, and 2 provinces, moose - 0. We are so thrilled that we had this opportunity to explore so many scenic and historical places in our beautiful country. People were wonderful. The cooler, wetter year played in our favor because wildflowers were in bloom almost everywhere.

Jun 7, 2008 - Prequel

So I know what your thinking, why have a prequel to a non-epic journey? Well, to answer this question, you first have to know how little prepared we are. First off, it is two days before the trip and we have no car, no reservations and no idea what we are getting ourselves into. It wasn't until yesterday that we were able to find a car rental company within a 30 miles radius that would cover us if we were to leave Oregon, Washington and Idaho. Other companies will and do allow to cross states but you are charged $0.25 a mile after a free...
