Day twenty: Destination- Crater Lake Soundtrack- Sufjan Stevens, Tom Petty, Bon Jovi, and Bruno Mars Pandora (one of my favorites of all time by the way) Based on my experience the last 24 hours, Washington is a super cloudy state! Today was a total driving day. Rather boring... We didn't get all the way to Crater Lake before dark. So, we stopped off at a national forest and found a dispersed campsite to stay at. We took a couple pictures of the Oregon coast along the way. Hopefully we're more interesting tomorrow... Tomorrow - Crater Lake

Oct 2, 2011 - 37 Degrees & Change of Plans Again

We woke to 37 degrees this morning. The sun is not supposed to shine today and it only gets up to about 45 degrees for the high. OK, so now we are looking at Lake Tahoe and the weather being about the same and we have been pretty spoiled so I guess we will just head south into California until we find some decent weather. I think we might try to go to Monterey to the aquarium. Other than that, we’ll just play it by ear. So now that we have that decided, it’s time to get ready to move to Diamond Lake. May 27, 2011 - Folsom to Bend Oregon (almost)

Left around noon to try and beat the MD traffic, though I-5 was pretty crowded until well past 505. Hwy 97 is a very pretty highway, it starts out ugly when you leave I-5, but soon you get into a pretty forest area that parallels the railroad tracks. We stop at a lake for a quick break, the wind was blowing recently melted snow (i.e. very cold). We had dinner (Pizza at Abbys) in Klamath Falls, town was very quiet and then we headed out along the lake. Because of the rain/cold, the bug count was actually much lighter than I remember. We...
