We are up early. We need to be at the marina by 6:00. No problem. I would like to report that it was a wonderful trip. However, John likes to cast with artificial lures. This is “fishing” to him. Unfortunately, fishing for stripers right now is like fishing for flounders. You put some bait on a hook, drop the line down and hold the rod real still. John spends most of the time fishing his way (without any catching.) He finally succumbs to catching a couple of fish with the bait but for him, it is not really fishing. We need to ask more...

May 13, 2019 - Madill, Oklahoma

It is a great start to the day. John heads to the bathhouse. I look out of the RV – what a sunrise! I get the camera out. John returns to the RV and announces that he needs to make a few casts. He catches a bass from the bank. I sit outside with my morning coffee. Like I said. It’s a great start to the day! Since we have nothing scheduled today, we take the motorcycle to town for breakfast. May 12, 2019 - Madill, Oklahoma

Where to next? We pick our route by the distance we want to travel, the location of RV parks and what we want to see. We decide that the Ozarks are more than two days away for us. There is a more we want to see in Oklahoma. We head to Lake Texoma on the border of Texas and Oklahoma. The roads are good and so is the weather. We head east on 7 to the Chicksaw National Recreation Area. Lake of the Arbuckles is here but it is not our destination. We take scenic 177 south. I better call ahead to our campground.
