Aug 17, 2016 - Fort Supply Park (COE) (8/8 - 8/10/16)

We arrived at Ft. Supply Lake on Monday afternoon. We have a beautiful site by the lake with a very large area around our RV. We are in site #36. Corps of Engineers parks are some of the prettiest and cleanest parks. They are also great because Tim has the senior pass which gets us in for 1/2 price. Jul 8, 2015 - We Like COE Parks

Continuing north and west, we have enjoyed the backroads of OK and two very nice Corps of Engineer parks. Yesterday, Waurika, OK, at Kiowa Park, and today at Fort Supply, OK at Supply Park campground. With our senior pass, less than $10 per night. At both lakes we have seen lots of Canadian geese feeding along the shore. Today we stopped for lunch at Sunshine Cafe on the town square in Cordell, OK and enjoyed the plate lunch special. We almost had a bird strike today as a turkey barely missed our windshield. Tomorrow we head for Hasty, CO...

The roads were good (US 54 to 183 in Greensburg and down to Ft. Supply. Saw my first cotton field today! I thought someone had put lime on the field while there were still crops in it but as we...
