9/29 – 9/30 In 199 miles (I-44, I-244, US64, US60, SR58, SR51) we were at our final stop for the month at Canadian Recreational Area on Canton Lake by Canton, Oklahoma. Again our site overlooks a large lake, but this time there are no acorns to worry about. There are many signs of gophers, a prairie dog town and even a skunk passed by our site. Oct 19, 2010 - Big Bend COE Park in Canton Oklahoma
Hello everyone....Well we left Lewisville and we headed north toward Oklahoma....We have never been on the western side of Oklahoma before so we came thru new territory for us...We expected it to be flat, but we didn't know there were mountains up here. We came into the Wichita Mountains..they are not just huge but they are pretty good size. There is lots of farmland here...it looked like most of the crops have been harvested and just winter grass is growing. We did see several huge fields of cotten that was ready to be picked.
