Our October trip was coming to a close. From Jules' home in Golden, I decided to take us through a couple of areas I had never seen...the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, and the Black Mesa State Park near Boise City, OK in the panhandle. May 14, 2014 - Oklanoma

After visiting several Texas County Courthouses, we headed north. Wild Bill's campground in Boise City is pretty good. Internet, free showers and hookups. Cimarron County is the only county in the U.S. that borders four states, Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico and Texas.

May 16, 2013 - RV Repairs and Covering Miles

Tuesday, May 14 The best laid plans sometimes don't work. When we were driving up to Raton Pass this afternoon, the “check engine soon” light came on. We managed to make it over the pass and into Raton, but the Ford dealer here couldn't get it in until tomorrow morning. So we're staying at an unlovely KOA campground tonight (one of our least favorite types), but we have an 8:00 am appointment in the morning.
