Conkle's Hollow, situated off S.R. 374 on Big Pine Road is a rugged, rocky gorge - considered one of the deepest in Ohio. Conkle’s was on our bucket list for this summer trip and today was the perfect time to try it. As I look back on this hike, I think it is one of the better ones that we have been on this year. Cantwell Cliffs, Old Man's Cave and Rockbridge Nature Preserve all had steeper and longer paths, but I preferred Conkles. May 28, 2015 - Ohio Tidbits. The Famous Rock Bridge State Nature Preserve and the Rock Bridge

Rock Bridge State Nature Preserve is located approximately 10 miles from our campground near Lancaster Ohio. Depending on the direction you are traveling on route 33 the Rock Bridge exit is hard to spot. There will be a brown sign indicating the park exit, and It is just a very small road and after you make the turn it is about a mile to the entrance of the park. Watch for it and you can see okay.
