In Peninsula, there is a three-hour scenic railroad ride that takes you through the whole park. It only runs Wednesday through Sunday. We couldn't do that but met "Jim," who is 81 years old and is a native of Peninsula. He gave us the best tour we could have gotten in Peninsula, which is on the National Historic Register. Per Jim the total population is only a little over 600 people. Jim told us that Ken Burns had been in town researching his PBS series on the National Parks.
