Yola Smolas, Today we drove from Paris, Kentucky (Aunt Mary Beth’s house) to Cedarbrook Campground in Lebanon, Ohio. When we got here Dad decided that since we were going to be here for four or five days that we (me) should put up all of the screens. Dad then went grocery shopping because one of his friends from work was coming over for dinner. Mom and I had to clean the motor home. Before Dad left for the store, though, we had to lift up the bed to get the vacuum out. Mom then vacuumed the motor home while I caught up on journal entries...

Oct 20, 2006 - Homeward Bound

Just another travleing day - uneventful. Although, I did forget to mention that our front windshield on the motorhome is cracked. I forget what day Bob noticed that, but that made for a quiet ride after he fusssed and fumed. I know it was before we got the crap on the car. We tried to find a campground for the night, but that didn't happen. We were heading to one which was becomming way too off the highway for us so we stopped at a small general (liquor) store for directions. May 26, 2005 - Columbus, Ohio

Ohio is different from all the other states I've been in recently. It is small towns and farms, something like where I grew up in Idaho except there are no mountains in the distant. Houses are surrounded by immense green lawns. I see people on rider mowers clipping the grass. Craig, the Ohio resident I visited with yesterday said that the winter here is very harsh and cold and the summer is very hot and humid, leaving spring and fall as livable seasons. I stay near Wilmington at a state park, which appears to have quite a few places full,...
