Aug 3, 2015 - Day 1 of our wonderful adventure

Finally got off and running. Driving into a headwind all day makes for a very long day. 435 miles down and about 4,000 to go. Overnighting at Kenisee's Grand River Camp in Geneva, Ohio. Over all a good day. Included a pic of the inside of the RV for those of you who may not have seen it. And yes, that is my gin and tonic on the table.

May 13, 2011 - Lake Erie

Yesterday morning, under grey skies with the rumble of thunder once more in the distance, we hurriedly packed it up and got underway because to the northeast, the direction we wanted to travel, it was clearing. We were heading to the east of Cleveland and the weather guessers said it would be clear there. Pretty Damn Nice!

Aug 12, 2010 - Kinisee / Germack

We drove to Cleveland and picked up Chris’s mom and drove to our next camping destination in Geneva, OH. We unloaded the trike at a friendly private airport (Germack) and moved the trailer to Kenisee Campground – both east of Cleveland (stayed there last year). Another week and a half of good flying and family visits, including trips to the local wineries and a birthday dinner for Chris’s brother. Route: 150 miles SR-60, SR-89, US-250, I-71, I-271, I-90, SR-2, I-90, SR-534

Summer - 2010

Jun 13, 2009 - Ohio

Well, we survived the traffic around the south side of Chicago and ended up on Lake Erie just east of Cleveland. We stayed at a pretty park there and Anne took a few pictures of the "swimming hole" and the river. This was a big place on the Grand River, with four lakes for swimming and fishing. Dilsea is much better and back to begging shamelessly for snacks during meals. She has been in the sun so much on this trip that she hardly looks like a black-and-tan Welsh Terrier. She is so bleached-out that she is looking more like a Wheaton Terrier.

Dilsea's Road Trip

Sep 5, 2008 - Bonehead Technology

Because I can bore all of you with family pictures…I have posted more! The lost pictures of my Aunt Anna Mae’s family and Toledo’s brown vista of Lake Erie have been recovered. Marty discovered that the memory card “unseated” from the camera when I dropped it, previously. Amazingly, all the pictures I thought I’d lost… have been found! Maybe you are not as thrilled as I am…but retirement requires enjoying the simple things in life. I’ve posted some pictures of Marty’s sister Nancy and her husband Ed. They moved from California to Ohio over...
