Sep 18, 2010 - Preps for our next trip

Well folks, the 2010-2011 trip is about to start. We will be departing Garrettsville next Friday, Sep 24th on our way down to Ohio Eastern Star Grand Chapter in Dayton for the weekend, then we will be heading into PA to visit with Scott's family for a few days. Next stop will be New England for what we hope will be some beautiful fall colors. We plan to be visiting New England States for the month of October and then work our way down to the Carolinas and Georgia for winter. We will then make our way to Scott's Aunt's home in West Virginia...

Aug 8, 2010 - THE BIG DAY

We had a wonderful day. The weather was good, overcast and not too hot. Not as many as we were expecting but nice. As you can see it was a good day. Missed some of the family. The book of life is wonderful and if any one stops by latter this year we will be happy to show it to you. We want to thank Debra for all the hard work she has put in on putting it together. Also thank to Jo for the moral support.

Aug 6, 2010 - AMISH COUNTRY

We traveled around the local area a little today. This is the 4The largest in the World. Middlefield, OH. These people and the ones around keep there places up real good. Here some pictures of the area. We found a small local meat market that works like you were back about 50 years or more. They wrap there meat in the old butcher paper. "BYLER'S FREEZER MEATS".

Apr 15, 2010 - Home at Last!

We continued on Rt. 20 today, and arrived home around 5:30pm. We still had to file our Ohio State taxes so as soon as we got settled, out came the laptop so that those could be filed. Done!! Yeah!!! Since this is our last entry on this Wonderful and Exciting Road trip, let us share some of those crazy stats with you: We traveled through 16 states (not including Ohio) and 1 Canadian Providence; traveling more than 16778 miles. We used 1460 gallons of diesel fuel, paying an averaging of $2.94 per gallon. We averaged 11.93 miles per gallon,...

Oct 26, 2009 - 1 Day & a wake up!

Well, where to start. The house is now empty. We have signed the papers, and ordered the final meter readings for Gas & Electric (Water company took our reading over the phone). Only thing pending now is for Heather M., the young lady who is buying our home, to sign the papers on Weds. Wow! I can't believe it. We are now living in our fifth-wheel trailer at the camp grounds in Garrettsville (small town about 45miles east of Cleveland).
