Today, we have a scenic two and a half hour ride to Blanchester, OH. We arrive at two thirty in the afternoon. We take our time getting ready. We have breakfast in Georgetown. We pass over the interstate and head east to Paris, KY. From Paris we head north toward Maysville on the Ohio River. Twenty miles south of Maysville, John slows the RV. “There is something wrong. John is awake early and heads to the pond to fish. I sleep in. I am up in time to travel with Alice for the day. Alice is taking her mom, Geneva, to a doctor’s appointment outside of Cincinnati. It is a scenic ride. At the doctor’s office, I read about a deactivated missile site near Alice that is for sale. She does not seem interested in buying it. On the way home, we turn onto Old 3C highway. Alice explains that it runs between Cincinnati, Columbus and Chillicothe. That makes sense. We use Old 3C when visiting Peggy and John. While we are...

For breakfast, Peggy’s John fixes us a wonderful veggie omelet. Peggy is already out working. My John has promised Peggy a ride on his motorcycle. When she finishes her barn work, Peggy is ready to go! Her dog Jack watches and waits impatiently for her to return. When John and Peggy pull back into the drive, she has a huge grin on her face. Jack is relieved. Our grandmother would have told Peggy that she had “slipped a cog.” Before noon, we have said our goodbyes and are on our way to Blanchester. My friend, Alice has a light lunch ready...

We start our morning trying to turn our RV and trailer around. We do not dare leave the blacktop. Alice has had a lot of rain in April. The back field is very muddy! We finally disconnect. We add a front wheel to the trailer and turn it around by hand. There is no problem. Alice and I join her mom for a pre-Mother's Day brunch. The food is again great. There is entertainment and we again have time to visit. It is a good morning. The brunch is Mother-Daughter so John stays at the house. Tomorrow we start our final trek toward home. He needs...
