Oct 11, 2015 - Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds

Things have been unusually active at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds this weekend. The usually quiet place was enlivened by a Pet Rally, Flea Market, and Book Sale. The events drew a surprising number of visitors to the park filling up a considerable portion of the parking area. There were also eight other RVers in the campground. That compares with no other campers in the same campground last year. We visited a couple of times with my retired brother, Bob, and soon-to-be-retired sister, Charlene. Our almost a week here culminated today...

Oct 12, 2014 - Brown Family

We are now at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds. As has been the case in the past we are alone in a park that has over sixty sites. The folks in the office tell me that they are planning some campground improvements. That worries me because it would be possible to fill this park if they tried. We also had a good time visiting with Char’s daughter, Mandy, and her husband, Mark Scott. Most of...

May 11, 2013 - Visiting the Brown Kin

After three phenomenal days the weather finally deteriorated on Thursday as we saw some clouds and rain. We took advantage of the bad weather to do some shopping and combined lunch with wifi access at the Three Spice Restaurant in Chesterton. We packed up and left at 7:30 on Friday for the drive to Berea, OH and the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds. We are the only people here in a campground that has about 60 full-hookup sites. Our only problem is that the electricity seems to be too strong and our surge protector has repeatedly cut it off....

Aug 22, 2011 - To the West Side of Town

We spent the weekend parked at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds. We were the only folks in the campground and had a full 50-amp hookup. This is our second stay at the fairgrounds and it is proving to be a great place to stay. We took the opportunity for a couple of visits with my brother and sister along with Bob's wife, Patty, and Terry, who lives and works with Charlene. We keep eating during all of these visits! No photos from this stop. We are on toward Chicago this morning.
