We made it here with no problems other than the fact that somehow I pushed the wrong button on the GPS and inserted half a dozen stops we didn't want. After we finally figured out why Gertie was telling us to go in directions we KNEW we didn't want to go, all was well. Sam had to do all the driving, though, while I lolled on the couch under the ice pack. Did manage to get an appointment with an orthopedist in Laramie on the recommendation of my son-in-law, so there is hope that I might get over this mess enough to help Sam with the driving...

Aug 6, 2009 - North Dakota is Familiar!!!

Hi gang, We are in Garrison N.D. and camped at a Army Corps of Engineers campground located at the the downstream side of the Garrison Dam on the lake.On 8/4 we travelled to Spirit Mound which is North of Vermillion S.D. and where Lewis and Clark had responded to the Native American claims that devils were located there. It was a mile hike to a point that is for certain was visited by Lewis and Clark. Then we got back in the pick-up and transversed to Pierre S.D. where we stayed in a Wal-Mart parking lot.
