Imagine a good sized mall. But instead of stores selling clothing or toys or electronics, every store in this mall sells furniture. Some stores feature different manufacturers; others vary by style. It took us two hours to assess the contemporary furniture, generally what we like. A few digressions in the other design categories and another hour went by. Sep 1, 2010 - Hickory, NC

September 1, 2010. After a short drive of 110 miles we are now "camping" in the driveway of Christine and James' lovely home in Hickory, NC. And, with some regret, we must say that this concludes this edition of our Trip Journal. We have enjoyed having you along for the ride and reading your comments; it was almost like being with you along the way. 2010 Travels

Jun 25, 2008 - Grand Canyon Trip

We drove 350 miles last night! We ended up staying at an RV park half way between Nashville and Memphis, but we never saw another living soul. We arrived at 1:00 AM our time, but the office was closed. When we got ready to leave this morning, the office wasn't open, so we left our money in the envelope provided, and took off again! Today, we drove to Memphis and ate on Beale Street! It was really cool seeing all the Blues restaurants and clubs.
