A long ride today, in the rain. Danny called Chrome World to see if they could install a light on the bike (we had talked to them at WD), but they have to order the part and will install it next week. Soooooo....we decided to explore more of NC. The scenery is pretty nice here, and we really like the rurual areas.

Nov 17, 2006 - moved to Washington (North Carolina that is)

Even though the wind was blowing around 20-30 knots, we picked up and left the campground in Waves on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Gads, you'd think we were on a sailboat or something!?!? Actually this time last year, we were with Jim and Mary Brye down in Mexico on their sailboat! Time sure flys by!! Anyway, we (yes I said we, since I drove about 90 minutes-and realized that Joe is NOT a good passenger!!) drove to Washington, North Carolina and then realized we are back on the Civil War trails again. This town has some Civil War...

Jun 25, 2006 - Pierce Park in Williamston, NC

So we headed for the Atlantic Coast and the Outer Banks. We didn't want to drive the whole way at once, especially since we've been having problems with the turbo boost. It won't give us as much power as it should when needed. So until we can get a good mechanic to look at it, we'll just take it easy. We found a small quiet campground in Williamston, NC for the night
